Description
This photograph by Joseph Constantino utilizes infrared photography to offer a new perspective of Magnolia Lake near Atlanta, Georgia. Infrared film is sensitive to infrared light which exists at a wavelength not visible to the human eye. The result is pixilation that obscures some details and heightens others. You may notice the darkness of the water, the trees reflected in it, your position on the lake, or the vacant canoe resting on its bank. A surreal effect is created as the fog above the water obscures the world and skyline beyond.
